Church might be completely new to you – that’s fine!
We’d love you to join us on any Sunday morning.
We understand that trying anything new can be a daunting experience.
So here’s what you can expect if you visit us on Sunday morning:
When should I arrive? The service starts at 10.30am. Be sure to look for our welcome team as you come into the building. As well as welcoming you and giving you an order of service leaflet, they’ll try to answer any questions you may have.
What to wear? Where do I sit? The atmosphere at the church is very relaxed. People are friendly and there is no dress code. You’ll see some people dressed casually, or in a suit and tie and others in jeans and a T-
What will happen at the meeting? There will be a time of singing – usually around 7 songs (3-
There will be a time of prayer (again, you can just listen in as we pray). There will be an update with church news and upcoming events.
There will be a collection of the offering, there is no pressure for you to contribute.
A passage from the Bible will be read, and there will be a Bible talk (about 25 minutes in length). Be warned though of our Pastor’s joke repertoire. We aim for our meetings to last about 90 minutes.
Family services are held on the fourth Sunday of the month and last around 75 minutes, with an informal and friendly atmosphere, the children stay in the service and are encouraged to join in many aspects of it.
If you would like someone to pray with you, please come to the front at the close of the service. A private area is available if you require privacy.
What about the children? Children are very welcome and have their own “Sunday Club” that starts after the first part of the meeting then rejoining the main service near the end? Toddlers are provided with a Crèche.
Is it just Sundays? Most definitely not! God is with us 24/7 and we aim to lead lives pleasing to Him. We do make mistakes, and understand we are not perfect, but we desire to make a positive difference in all aspects of our lives. To further encourage us we have midweek House Groups (a House Group is simply a meeting of maybe 10 people in someone's house). House Groups are a great way to get to know others in the church and to be real with each other about everyday living. We periodically run a Christianity Explored course. Christianity Explored is an interesting way to find out more about God and the claims of Christianity. No question is too silly and you'll find other people also exploring God for the first time.
We serve complimentary tea and fresh coffee afterwards. It’s a great time to meet others.
Come along, we’d love to welcome you this weekend.
